n-Butyl Cyanoacrylate
This low odour liquid cyanoacrylate is hydrophobic and forms flexible polymers. It is used as a base in formulating instant adhesives with excpetional bonding to rubber substrates.
It also appears on the market in specialised medical grade adhesives such as Histoacryl TM, Trufill TM, Tisuacryl TM, Glubran 2 TM, Indermil TM, Integuseal TM, Topocryl TM, Endocryl TM. It is also marketed in admixtures with 2-Octyl 2-Cyanoacrylate in medical adhesives such as LiquiBand TM, Gluture TM, Dermaflex TM QS TM, Omnex TM, Glubran Tiss, PeriAcryl TM, GlueSeal TM.
